Hello XCR440SP...hey, appreciate all your insight with your previous posts. Hey, quick question if you don't mind. My dealer tells me my 4X4 Lariat SCrew 2tone has been "scheduled" with a build date of 9/22. I thought I would also be able to get a VIN# from him but he told me that's not available yet...that it has to get a VON first and won't get a VIN until the engine is manufactured? straight scoop? Thanks XCR.

 

I think he's wrong, I can't say for sure, maybe Ford does things different in certian regions. But for me, I assume VON is vehicle order number and thats dealer assigned. Once the unit is scheduled, the next day I get a VIN. Usually the day after that it has a build date (but not always). So for me I can't have a build date without a VIN, but maybe somethings different in your region (but I kind of doubt it).

 

Can you provide part number and price information on the Black tubular running boards for the Supercab. My truck in due in this week and I didn't order them on the truck. I have been in and out of several now and think I should have ordered them. I hope I can get them from Ford Parts.
