Window Sticker Errors - Thank you Ford!

On my window sticker it says:

1) "Black Sports Cloth Captians Chairs"
and I have the Silver Cloth Captians Chairs.

2) Audiophile - $250
and according to everywhere I look (including the original invoice I looked at 3 weeks ago) it is supposed to be around $550. (I have the 6 Disc in dash and Subwoofer.)

Even in the Ford Online Inventory it lists everything correctly, but just not on the Window Sticker! I wasn't gonna say anything, I saved a hundred or two!

Let me know if you think they made a mistake, changed the pricing or if i'm just crazy!

Thanks,
Scott Fcasni

When did you order?

The Audiophile was originally priced wrong. Reading XCR's ordering posts from Friday he says that Retail (Pre-sold) orders get price protection. I take that to mean if you ordered before the pricing fix, about 4-6 weeks ago, you got it for the original (wrong) $250 price.

Good to see they kept the $250 price. I have the system on order for the same cost. If it will ever get here.

If you ordered the audiophile upgrade at 550 dollars and the window sticker says 250 dollars are they going to give you back the extra 300 you paid? I pre ordered and have a set price that I agreed on with my dealer. If I go back and ask for the extra 300 dollars do you really think he will give it to me?

I keep holding my breath for the day my truck arrives. I may as well keep holding it for my 300 dollar refund. That way I won't let myself down when neither arrive.

Tell me about it. Two months. NO updates from Ford. I passed blue about two weeks ago. Was supposed to get first Screw into dealer. My order was placed in front of all stock orders. Stock order arrived Friday. Got to drive it. It didn't help. Now I have the bug even worse. These are awesome trucks.

FoMoCo needs to get their act together. If any of you work for Ford and can tell Ford HQ anything. Tell them their information transfer to dealers sucks. This is actually the second time I have had this happen to an ordered vehicle through two different dealers. Ford doesn't tell the dealer anything and all of a sudden it just shows up. The other two times I have ordered the dealer was able to give me an arrival day at most two days after I ordered and they showed up.

Is the Audiophile upgrade worth it, and what kind of power does it put out. I saw somewhere it said dual-media, does this mean it plays MP3 CD's, or do they mean CD and cassette? I'd really like a multii disc MP3 capable rig, because you could fit 50 or 60 albums on that many CD's.

I haven't tried to play MP3's yet. But I will try and let you know.

I think "dual media" does mean CD\Tapes.

I just checked..

When you put a MP3 CD into the Disc changer it just says "CD-Rom Disc", "Remove CD"

Back to Best Buy for me then. They have a JVC CD/MP3 single disc for 180 this week. Thanks for checking.

That is odd. My MP3's are playing fine in my 04 with the Audiophile system. Try your disk in something else to see if it is a disk problem before tearing out an awesome factory system.

My MP3's play fine as a "Audio" CD that can hold 14-17 songs.

But MP3's are not playing as a "data" cd that can hold a few hundred.

Is that what you're talking about ~~~^~~~

Thanks,

Yes, I was referring to keeping them as MP3 and making an MP3 disc...like I use in my Rio Volt MP3 player. I can fit, depending on album length and sample rate, between 7-12 on each disc. These are not standard audio CD's like for the living room CD player. So it's really like having a 10 disc CD changer in the truck. And there is at least one mfr out there that makes an MP3 in dash that has a hard drive in it, I think it's like a 40 gig drive. It's quite feasible to take your entire collection of music in the truck.
