'04 Technical Questions

I was wondering if a few of you could tell me exactly what the below things are? I read them in the book and assume they're good. Just don't know what they do.

1) Non-SIR restraints - Driver and front Passenger (Screw)

2) Delayed accessory power

3) Speed-dependent interval windshield wipers

4) Stake-bed pockets

Thanks guys!

1. Seat belts mounted to cab (normal style). Supercab has SIR seats with the seatbelt in the seat.

2. Power windows and other accesories work when you shut the key off and continue working until you open the door.

3. Interval wipers speed up the faster you go. You'll never notice them working but they do. If you time them at a stop and a 60 (in the same setting) you'll notice the delay between wipes is shorter. This isn't a new feature and I think this started with the 97 F-150.

4. Holes in the top of the box side. Most people never use them anymore. There used for attching bed rails, but used to have more work uses.

Now it all makes sense. Thanks XCR440SP. I wonder if my '98 Explorer has that wiper feature. Never noticed it if it does.

Central Iowa, a little town called Union. My XCR rocked a little too hard last year and I haven't gotten around to putting another piston in it yet, little frustrated when it melted down on vaction. We were in the UP staying at lake Gogibic and it died when we were almost to Copper harbor, talk about a long day, if it weren't for seeing all the new F7's on ropes (and lots of beer), I don't know how I'd have survived the trip.
