Sat in an '04...

Well, I saw four of them today. The first was a silver STX, extended cab 4.6L dark gray cloth, the second was a black extended cab XLT 4x4 5.4L gray cloth, the third was a black FX4, 5.4L auto with gray leather and console shift. All three were nice trucks, had some nice features, and seemed to dwarf my '03, but none of them made me want to trade in the '03. I wasn't real impressed with the interior. It just felt very sterile, and not real comfortable. Too sharp, kinda artsy or modern. The tailgate emblem as bad as it looks in pictures wasn't too bad up close. The trucks as a whole were just a little too blocky for me, but still very nice.

...and finally the fourth was a shadow gray, FX4 Supercrew, black leather, console shift, 5.4L. I liked this one. Very nice. The black leather with console shift just seemed to bring the interior to life, not sure why, but I really liked this truck so much more than the other three. Someday I will probably have one like this.

however, if I could have taken one home, it would have been the '03 F250 6.0L FX4. Black, auto, custom wheels/tires, lift, black nerf bars... Wow! I wanted that one pretty bad... It too me was much nicer than even the shadow gray '04 F150...

Oh, well, I'll just keep my '03 Sport, and be happy...

How was the back of the supercrew? Cozy? Comfortable to sit 3?

Thanks

I too looked at the 250 today. Stickered at almost 45,000 I could have had for about 35,000.

But for that expensive of a truck it has the same problem the current 150's have (97-03). It is just a truck with leather seats.

I Ford expects me to pay that much for a truck, give me a moonroof, powered rear windows, heated seats, etc.

Just my 0.02

David

good point David, that is a lot of money for a truck, but it's such a nice one...

and Scott, sorry, but I didn't get to sit in the back of the SuperCrew... However the back of the extended cabs for me was very small and cramped, but I'm 6'2", so even the front seat of my GF's Honda is small and cramped...

You may be the 1st person, on this Forum, to have seen an SCrew on a dealer lot.....???

There are several other Threads floating around asking if anyone has actually "seen" a SCrew on a lot

There is quite a bit more room in the extended cab back seat....very nice. Can't even reach the back window....good thing it is a power window.

I saw a SCrew sometime in July I think. (I made a thread in here somewhere). It was a red Lariat, fully loaded. And it is what prompted me to place my order for my XLT Supercrew. (I didn't care for the woodgrain dash.)

I really can't remember. If I get a chance I'll stop by there this afternoon... I'd like another look anyway...
