I'm confused by the FX4 model.

The Ford website shows an FX4 extended cab but someone here mentioned an FX4 SCrew.

Does Ford call all thier 4 wheel drive trucks FX4? Or is it something different?

Seems I can pick from a 4X4 Screw "OR" a FX4 Extended cab.

What is FX4?

FX4 is one of the style packages. There is the XL, XLT, FX4 and Lariat. FX4 is the off-road package. Supercrew means that the truck has 4 full doors. Supercrew is available on the XLT, Lariat and FX4 packages.

 

don't forget the STX model model in that line-up hehe

 

I was looking to trade in my 01 Screw but I just priced the FX4 Screw at ~36,000.

Too steep for me.

 

What the hell does 4X2 mean anyway?


It doesn't make sense if its rwd to call 4x2.

Or is this a gimmick they use to impress dumb people?

 

The truck has 4 wheels but only 2 of them are driven from the motor.
