What's with beige anyway?

 

I've been building trucks on the Ford website, and I have priced an XLT and a similar FX4 to within about $200. I would gladly pay $200 less to avoid worrying about getting wax on the wheel lip moulding, but I wish they offered the Audiophile in the XLT.

Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't the FX4 have the electronic throttle control for 4 Wheel Low?

 

Electronic throttle control has nothing to do with the transfer case. ETC is for the throttle plate which would mean it is used for all drive modes (2wd, 4hi, 4lo).

 

My husband and I drove both the XLT and the FX4 last weekend, similar options, same drk. blue exterior color with similar gray cloth interior. The FX4 was SO much nicer - really no comparison. The dash was the clincher - seemed plain on the XLT, and anything but plain on the FX4. There was about $1300 difference in price, and I've forgotten which options were on them, but it seemed well worth the difference. JMO.
