I think Ford needs to look at the trucks of the 80's again... when the XLT's had a different tailgate treatment from the "Custom"s

 

I have Dark Shadow Gray badges front and rear on my truck. Put a Probe 3.5" on my billet grill in the bottom left corner. Looks good. I'll try to find the guys site and post it, he has every color Ford makes and then some.

 

Some will like the 9 inch rear tail gate ford blue oval and some will not. I think the big emblem looks gaudy and heavy handed. A stealth approach (no or very small emblem) would have been very effective at catching the eye of potential buyers because the truck is very distinctive on its own. I'd bet $5 the big rear emblem is just for initial product introduction and ford will quickly shrink the rear tail gate emblem on the 05 redesign. All in all though the 04 is a great looking truck; IMO.
