Rumors, Rumors, Rumors, Please read and comment

I have a good friend who works in Indianapolis at the Visteon Plant. They make the rack & pinions for the new trucks.

He just called to tell me that Ford has shut down both final assembly lines due to a problem with the frame.

When I told him, that this is old news and that this was a rumor which was reported on www.f150online.com several weeks ago he didn't buy it. He says he knows that his info was legit.

I personally think that this is a great example of how long it takes for rumors to travel outside of the small world wide internet.......LOL

If that is true, I wonder if Ford is going to recall the trucks that have been sold already. I don't know about elsewhere, but as rdh had replied in the 3 of em' at Ford of Tulsa thread, there has been at least one (silver FX4) that has been sold here.

I don't believe it is true. The local dealerhsip by me has also already sold several.

I think it is a rumor, which took longer to get to outside vendor plants...... JMO

Frames

There was a problem with the ps bracket cracking at the frame. This was taken care of a long time ago. The assembly lines were never shut down.
