So What's Going On?

I have seen the post and the pictures about the trucks being held because of the bracket weld, but no updates since. What is happening? Has the problem been resolved? Are they making trucks that are shipping, or are they just fixing the ones that were already made? Anyone with an update let us know. Thanks.

There is trucks shipping. My dealer has a XLT4X4 supercab and has 8 - 10 more (don't know all the models) due in next week, and then more after that. So in short regardless what you hear Ford is shipping AND selling new 04's NOW...

I agree, they have reached RI as of today!!! 4 of them, STX, 1 XLT and 1 FX4. All are SCabs. No console shifter on FX4.
3 different sets of tires. Michelins, Generals and GoodYears...???

I sat in a regular cab XL yesterday at a dealer in Lexington, KY. It was the only one they had, but he said they were supposed to be getting more next week.

I was unimpressed, but it WAS the most stripped down model possible.

I did like how easy it was to shut the tailgate!!

That's exactly how I felt today when I sat in the stripped down STX and FX4. I even said the same thing about the Tailgate...

Fatboy, I hope the loaded up models are more impressive in person... do you think Ford is shipping all of the crappy models first in an attempt to sell more 2003's?? I hope so...

Unfortunately, no. The model I looked at was a fully loaded supercrew Lariat w/ console shifter.

If I had wanted to buy an 04 XLT 4X4 supercab I could have it in my garage tonight. My dealer has this one and when I asked if it was for show or would they actually sale it, he told me if I wanted it to go get the paperwork togeather. They are getting another deliever of 8 - 10 next week, and more in the weeks to follow and will sale them as soon as someone completes all the paper work...

However, as I post in another post, I was not impressed at all. I do like the truck, and wouldn't "mind" having one, but no where near the feeling of "I have got to have one of these"...
