Has anyone set in the 04, 4x4 yet? I have a XLT coming that was built in June. Didn't order boards, don't really like them. My 2000 is high for short people to get in, unlike a Chevy. I heard the 04 was lower but not sure.

 

I have driven an 04 FX4. I found it higher than my 2000 XLT. It drove nice but looks kind of cheap inside. I am waiting to see a Lariat and then decide if I am even going to get one. It is bigger feeling than the older body styles and already a problem for my garage. It definitely had a wider feel as the side mirrors are larger. Overall it handled well and was quieter but Ford may have come up short overall. The mileage rating for the 5.4 is 14 and 18 so I don't see any improvement there. It is not real quick off the line and feels a bit heavy. Drives out nice on the open road though. Just my observations. I drove this in Albuquerque.
