FX4 fender flare color?

FX4 fender flare color?
I'm considering a white FX4 with the shadow grey two-tone. Do all FX4's come with grey or black fender flares or can you get them body colored? Will my fender flares match my lower accent color or be different? I couldn't tell if the flares were painted or just black plastic. I thought some of you that have seen them in person could tell me. Thanks.

You know, you'd think the dealer would be the place to go for answers. I've found, at least the dealers around here, know very little about the '04's. I usually end up answering their questions. You guys seem to know lots more. I wonder if any of these salesmen ever check out the net? If it was my job to sell something, especially something with as much hype as the new F150, I'd learn as much as I could about it. They actually seem rather disinterested.

cavediver, I don't know how to post a picture yet, so just click on the link below... if that don't work, copy the link and paste it into your browser... there's a picture of a red FX4 with the grey flares. I think it's sharp. But I'm worried about a black FX4 with the grey flares... I'm scared it will look cheap.

Peeked through the fence at the Kansas City plant on Saturday. Based on what I saw the moldings are a dark grey in color. They appeared to be same color as the front/rear bumpers on the two-tone. I thought they looked fine on the monotone black. I would prefer black as well but as yet that does not seem to be available.

Do some looking for 2003 FX4's, they're the same set-up. The black with gray flares looks OK, but the Gray flares and gray two-tone looks great. If I had to pick a best looking truck (excluding Harley) that is the paint scheme I'd pick. I wouldn't buy one unless someone else is keeping it clean, but it does look good!

purty,
Have you considered getting the black/shadow grey two-tone. That would help tie in the grey flares. I don't think I could keep up black myself, or I would go with that. I think it would look awesome together.

I have considered getting the shadow grey two-tone, but I LOVE a straight black truck!! I haven't decided yet, but I will by Friday b/c I'm going to order it!!
I had a monotone black Ranger... and ya'll are right, they're hard to keep clean, but MAN they're gorgeous when they are clean!!

To further confuse things I just noticed on page 11 of my brochure a silver FX4 with matching silver wheel lip moldings. It also mentions a monotone paint treatment, but then mentions a dark accent wheel lip molding. I just don't know. How about painting the wheel lip molding if it comes in grey?
