Smile On Monday ! (?)

Just talked to dealer, he says my 04 Lariat was made last week as scheduled. Further he says it would be at the dealership on Mondday (28 July) with his first load of F-150s.

We shall see!

I don't want to burst your bubble, but I would seriously doubt that. Ford said delivery to dealers won't happen until August, but my guess is you won't see any Screws until September or even October. Job 1 was yesterday, and I know Ford will hold thousands upon thousands for a long time.

screwbuilder:

Maybe that is not the same for someone that ordered one? They just may want to get some out there to get some hype going...

I don't know one way or the other, but like he said he is hoping...

I believe that your dealership is checking the automated delivery system that each build gets. It's a computer assigned number and, at this point in the game, I wouldn't take it as gospel.

Like SCREWBUILDER mentioned, I wouldn't expect them on the lots until late Aug. pending some further looking to make sure they don't have a catastrophe like has happend on past releases.

We shall see!

We shall see! I said

I did talk to the Sales Manager (thought the Salesman but I overheard the conversation). We discussed all the negatives but he said he was getting confirmed "info".

On another board some said they saw (up close and personally) at least six auto carriers full on a train in Texas.

I would not bet a can of Coke on this.

New INFO reported by Trueblue66212 on FordTruckWorld

"Steve Lyons (Vice President of Ford MoCo.) was at our dealership (Bob Allen Ford) looking at the new facility, he mentioned that the 2004 f150s will start being shipped Thursday from the Kansas City Plant, so our dealership should have them by monday. Hope this helps everyone in their wait."

Bobby

Seems to validate what I was told.

Back in 02 when I got my 03 the SuperCrew was built on Sept 25th and I went and testdrove it at the dealer on the 28th and then bought it on the 30th.

I know it's different with this since it's a complete redesign though, but they can ship them fast.

Ford has been making Regular cabs and supercabs for a while now. The Supercrew plant was just recently re-tooled which is why those won't see dealers or customers for another month.

jstevens, hope you get your truck next week.

Isn't it refreshing that we are all here anxiously waiting and discussing the arrival of our new truck.........

War is ugly but neccessary!
Taxes are ugly but neccessary!
Paying bills is ugly but neccessary!

Waiting on a New Ford F-150 04 is Priceless!

I can't wait for the 1st drive in my SCrew Lariat with every available option............................................ ......................

Have A Great Day Gang!

jstevens, don't get your hopes up. I work for the railroad that services the Norfolk plant and we are not receiving any 2004 models yet. In fact, the loading facility is shut down right now. They may start getting the 04's in soon, but will probably be held until somtime in August.
