Rebates and Incentives announced!

New Rebates and incentives posted on the dealer website last night. Looks like no incentives on Heritage model and new body style has $0 rebate and 2.9% APR 3 years, 3.9% APR 4 years, 4.9% APR for 5 years and 6.9% for 6 years.

Revision SMD#CI-3510: Ford Division is announcing a revised $500 Renewal/Loyalty Cash (Pgm#3550/3552) for customers purchasing a new 2004-Model F-Series LD (Incl. Heritage) and F-150 SuperCrew, effective July 18, 2003 through September 2, 2003.

Introduction: A customer terminating any Ford Division Red Carpet Lease/Red Carpet Option or Independent/Bank Lease who goes into a 2003/2004-Model Ford Division Car, Truck, SUV or Minivan is eligible for the following renewal/loyalty incentives.



Program Dates: July 10, 2003 through September 2, 2003
Eligible Vehicles and Incentive Amounts: Incentive amount for Retail Purchase/APR and 24/36/39 month RCL/RCO contracts is determined by the vehicle the customer goes into as follows:



Effective July 18, 2003 through September 2, 2003:

$500 - All New 2004-Model F-Series LD (Incl. Heritage) and F-150 SuperCrew


$500 - All New 2003/2004-Model Crown Victoria, Escort ZX2, Taurus, Econoline, Econoline Club Wagon, Econoline RV, Escape, Excursion, Explorer Sport Trac, 2Dr. Explorer Sport, F-Super Duty, Windstar, Ranger and 2003-Model F-150 SuperCrew (Incl. Harley)

$1,000 - All new 2003/2004-Model 4Dr. Explorer (Excluding Explorer Sport Trac), Expedition and 2003-Model F-Series LD (Incl. Lightning)

A/X/Z/D-Plan Customers are still eligible for the 48-Mo. Renewal/Loyalty Program.

Ineligible Vehicles: Thunderbird, Focus (Incl.SVT), Mustang (Incl.SVT/Mach 1), Lightning and F450 - F750 (Except for CommerciaLease/CommerciaLease PLUS)

Other Program Notes: - Used RCL/RCO and used Independent/Bank lessees are eligible provided the customer is enrolled through Program headquarters (Program #3550).

- If a consumer originally acquired a Ford/Lincoln Mercury Division used vehicle from a Ford dealer on either a RCL or RCO basis, he/she MUST Purchase/RCL/RCO the new 2003/2004-Model Ford Division vehicle at the
same Ford dealer (regardless of whether the prior vehicle was a Ford or Mercury).

- Customer does NOT have to renew into the same vehicle line, but must stay with a Ford Division product.

- Customer does not have to finance/lease with FMCC to be eligible for the Renewal/Loyalty Incentive.

- Customers who have previously terminated their Ford Division vehicle RCL/RCO, Independent/Bank Lease (new or used) or Used RCL/RCO contract from April 2, 2003 throug July 9, 2003 are also eligible if they Purchase/RCL/RCO an eligible new 2002/2003-Model Ford Division vehicle within the program period.

- The incentive is transferable to other household members residing at the same address with documentation.

- The incentive can also be transferred from Business to Business owner with proper documentation.(ie. Articles of Corp., Tax forms, etc..)

Leases only?

Would this apply to any owner of a Ford product or just those
who are leasing?

The way I read its all current owners. The lease only is usually called Lease renewal incentive.

I am a little confused. A Ford press release said that incentives would be offered immediately on the 04. Also, why discontinue incentives on the 03's? They will certainly have to offer something to keep those moving. Is this normal procedure for the launch of a new vehicle?
