First Drive: 2004 Ford F150 (our hands-on review...)
Great job on the review. My thanks. Some questions:
- Did you talk to any other writers who had driven the new Titan yet? If so, what were there thoughts?
(I suspect you were to focused on this exciting new Ford to chat up the other writers.)
- Did anyone point out to Ford that such a deep box is a negative to most people. You have to be 6ft 5 to reach over on to the bed. I'll need a step ladder to get into a tool box! It may help capacity numbers and may work with the styling lines, but I thought the current truck was more than tall enough as is.
- Any talk of when the 3V 4.6L will arrive (I hear at least 2-3 yrs) and any guess as to what the HP will be?
- Ford talks of fuel mileage improvment over the 2v 5.4L. IS this still true with the increased weight of this truck, or is it a play on words...
- Any XLT's thre with the optional polished alum wheels? If so , how did they look?
- Did you hear the audiophil sound system? IF so, how did it sound?
Oh and thanks for the site too!!!

Wow, those trucks are nice.
I wish I could have been there in New Braunfels and Gruene that weekend. Instead, I was a weekend too early. Oh, well. It looks like you all had a good time. Did you eat at the Gristmill? They have some pretty good food. We had a deer come up to our table while we were eating dinner there last month. Pretty cool.

I didn't even know this site existed until I did a Google search. So, I'm a newbie here, but I'm not a newbie to Ford F-150 trucks. I have owned four of them so far (95, 97, 99, and 2001).
Hey, great review!! Thank you for that. I am in the process now of getting quotes from about 5 different dealers on a new 2004 F-150. Gonna trade in my current 2001 F-150 SuperCrew. Here's a pic of that...... catcha all later!!!
