My guess is that the sticker will be $500. dollars higher than the current model. Ford wants to shock the market with its new quality product and low price to kill the competition.

With GM coming out with commercials admitting to poor quality problems, Ford will kill them if they keep prices down on the new 04 truck.

They may even have a few small incentives but I don't look for them to be as big as what is going on now.

Smile My Experience/Opinion

I almost ordered in Jan an 03 Lariat loaded at an MSRP of about $ 30,000 and an invoice price of $ 27,000. Dealer was offering Invoice + $ 400 plus Ford's rebates.

I accidently waited until '04s were announced. I have ordered a Lariat 2x4 with eveything except a power rear slider and the high end radio/CD changer. Prices are not yet known but throuhg my Credit Union I got a signed deal for Dealer's Total Invoice plus $ 100. Under the circunstances not a bad deal, I think.

If they keep prices increases down then I am joping for about
$ 28,000 minus any rebates which are rumored (sometimes).

the only thing i didnt order was 4x4 i got everything but the kitchen sink. bright red and gold with heated captians chairs.
the dealer said i could buy it on the ford a plan. i have a great friend that worked for ford for years. that should get me a pretty good price on it. didnt have to put a down pmt. on it. it is great sometimes to live in a small town. steve

04 lariat price speculation

I plan on ordering an 04 lariat supercab 4x4 (fully loaded). The only reason that I have not ordered it yet is because I want to see the difference between the captains chairs and regular leather seating as well as how the two tone paint looks. I am expecting the sticker price to be around 37-38 thousand. I test drove a similarly equipped 03 that stickered at $37,000. It had great rebates and would have been a great buy, but I had to wait for the '04. Am I ballparking the new prices to high or is the 4x4 that much more expensive? I would love to find out that I could pick one up in the low $30,000 range.

The moon/sun roof and power slider make an awesome combination!
