What is the latest on the 04 Lightning? Will there be an 04L? Are they going to release the 500hp L in 04 or do I have to wait until 05. Any info will be appreciated.

I read, I think it was on http://www.pickuptruck.com
that the Lightning production will be pushed back until they get all of the facilities trasferred over to the factories and get 100% changed over to the new body style, and the SVT spokesman said that the truck may be from six months up to a year later than the Lightnings usually come out, but it will be a 2004 when they do.

 

Thanks pickup man. I have heard through the rumor mill that it will not be produced until Dec of 04 as an 05 model. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

 

I had heard the same thing, no lightning for 04. As things move forward more of the exclusive models will be introduced-ie, harley, king ranch, etc.

Ford has done a great job with limited edition models and I see that continuing.
