No V6 or Manual Transmission option ?!

After looking through all the 2004 F-150 stuff, it seems like the 4.6 is going to be the base engine? And, I didn't see any references to a manual transmission!!

What is this going to do to the price of the base model truck? I know around here (and I drive one as well) there are a LOT of strip model F-150's... are they cutting themselves out of this market, and will they continue to be best-selling after that?

Hmmm...

Other than that, I think the new truck is awesome! I am also wondering if there are updates and changes in store for the 4.6.... any word on that??

the v6 f150 is toast. The engine was a bitch to most.

Not looked into the manual though, ubt i know there will be one. It is unwise not to have one.

Manuals rock!

i currently have the v-6, i think it is the most reliable of the 99-02 engines, but i can see making the 4.6 standard. the gas mileage is as good as the 4.2 and with more power. what i can't see is if they don't offer a 5 speed manual. that just seems crazy.
