Hello, New here. I have a 2002 f150 super cab heritage edition 2wd I want to swap on to a 2012 f-150 4x4 frame. Any ideas, tip's ect would be extremely helpful.
Okay so here's a quick update. I wound up getting a really good deal on a 2007 f150 supercab 4x4. The truck was in a rollover accident and the body was total but the entire drivetrain is still immaculate. The engine has less than $150,000 mi on it somewhere around the 130 mark. Has 37 inch super swampers on it and the previous owner put quite a bit of time and money in the engine and drivetrain. I had recently bought a 2002 SuperCrew full four-door two wheel drive. It was supposed to be in running condition I went all the way to Waycross Georgia from Taylor county Florida to get the truck driving it home I made it about 45 miles before the engine locked up. The body itself is also immaculate the interior is not so great the people had kids and roaches LOL, so over the last week I've probably put about 15 bug bombs off in it and plan on completely gutting out the interior. My plan is to swap my cab in bed onto the 2007 chassis with engine transmission intact. I know that it's not going to be a direct bolt up and that the 2007 is about 3 in longer in the wheelbase it looks like but I'm confident that I can make it work things that my 2002 is also a 5.4 l truck. My biggest question is am I going to be able to use the interior and and electronics from the 2002 with the 2007 engine and frame. If anyone out there has done this swap before I would greatly appreciate any tips or advice. Thank you in advance This is the cab and bed that I plan on using This is the four wheel drive chassis and drivetrain that I'm going to use And thanks to photoshop this is what the finished truck will look like LOL
