Will Trade A Funny, Funny Story for Advice
Hi Everybody, and thanks for all the help. My son is going to come over and take the front passenger tire off and then the wheel well plastic shield, pressurize the coolant system, and then look for the AC condenser drain. After reading around the internet, and here as well, I am going to check if it is leaking coolant from the heater core down the ac condenser drain on the firewall. And then check to see see if it is coming from the heater hose that runs under the intake manifold to the back of the engine. I understand this hose has a metal pipe & nipple (on/near the firewall) that tends to break off. If it is leaking from the heater core out the AC drain, then I will by-pass the heater core.If it is coming from the nipple on the heater/coolant line behind the engine, there are some videos on the internet about by-passing that hose as well. If it's not leaking from either of the those two locations, then I have a located a local mechanic who can diagnose it for about $90 bucks - but that would have to wait until that $1400 bucks from the government gets here. I'll let you folks know what I find out.
