My e-brake light stays on?

Bought a 2003 F150 FX4 about three months ago. Ever since I bought it the E-brake light has been on. PO said he had the brakes done and it came on after that? Anyway I'd thought I try to bleed the brakes today to see if there was air in the line. No, air in lines. Truck has s good pedal and good brakes. But the light stays on? Any ideas?

The Emg light has nothing to do with brake fluid / line pressure performance.
The Emg pedal has a switch that sends a ground to the dash.
The Brake fluid reservoir switch also can send a ground to the dash if the fluid is low enough.
Both these may light the same light because they are related to the whole system.
You don't want low fluid level or dragging rear brakes.
One of these switches is operated from it's normal position, for some reason.
Check the Emg pedal for being fully released, or switch out of adjustment or faulty.

Have you tried pulling the e-brake release and lifting the e-brake pedal with your toe? It might be as simple as a bad or misadjusted switch on the e-brake pedal. I know I have to do this whenever I release the e-brake or the light stays on.
