I just did an intake swap on my 5.4. From a coolant leaking plastic to a 1999 ALUMINUM ...runs like a sewing machine now (about the same amount of power too...) Not bad for 285,000 miles....it's tired but dependable!
I am not finding a hose over my battery. Can you tell me which hose it would be in my picture (s)
that I have attached?

I believe he's referring to the little hard vacuum lines that are *behind* the battery that go to the climate control system. Remove the battery to see them. There's an accumulator back there too.

However, if there's a problem with them, the climate control system usually doesn't work right - airflow stuck on defrost or going to defrost under low vacuum conditions.

Gotcha. Well... my climate controls are all working perfectly.

I have a new fuel filter but I need to buy the specialty tool to remove it from the fuel line or vice versa.

As I was driving the truck around town today I got to wondering if this not quite perfectly smooth idle would feel this way if there was one or more worn and even broken Motor Mounts?
Its like what I might call a Blip of a miss, not like if the engine had a miss but a very mini me version of one, yet the engine is running well. I could say that of all the vehicles I have driven in the past 20 years, this one is Not perfectly smooth like all the others were. I would really like to know if this is normal or abnormal for these 2 valve ford engines?
