2002 F150 "FX4" (off road) Shocks - Experiences and Suggestions
A friend of mine has a 2002 ford f150 ext cab 5.4l "FX4" (off-road) 4x4 and he wants to install shocks that Match the Shocks that Originally came on his truck from the Factory.
Does Anyone know what Brand and Type Shock would be the correct one for his FX4 Off (road) truck?
I am thinking: "Bilstein B6 4600" at: Rockauto.com
Also... Rockauto has brand new shocks that fit his truck for only $9.99 ea. - GABRIEL61613 ProGuard (front) & GABRIEL61612ProGuard (rear)
Any Experiences or Suggestions on any of my questions are greatly appreciated!!
Thank You

problem i had when replacing my front shocks.....wierd but true.
Rancho shocks (stock on my 02 Lariat 4x4) fronts were too short!!!!! When I took them off i discovered the top washer was BEAT/bent. That tells me the EXTENSION of the shock was a shorter range than the Upper control arm stop???? So upon replacing them i went with same rancho SERIES "with 2" LIFT" (which should make ZERO difference in shock travel given the truck is still using OEM suspension components...that STOP at XX high and XXX low)
