"turn signal on" clicking sound coming of stereo speakers

I have a: 2001 f150 supercrew 5.4l 4x4 - Just purchased it 5 days ago.

OEM am/fc/cass stereo - when I have the stock stereo On and use turn signal, left or right turn signal, the Normal clicking sound that comes from the dash is Also coming out through the speakers.

I assume I have a short somewhere or something like that. Definitely Not Normal.

Has anyone else had this and "what was the fix"?

Thank You

Check to make sure your ground wires are secure on the battery and block.
Check the spark plugs. Gap may be way to big if they have never been changed.

Check the GEM module for water ingress. It's on the passenger side foot well.

when I have the stock stereo On and use turn signal, left or right turn signal, the Normal clicking sound that comes from the dash is Also coming out through the speakers.
Need additional observations.

What mode is the stereo in (AM, FM, cassette, etc)? Have you tried the other input modes?
Does the radio's VOLUME control have any effect on the output volume of the clicking sound?

Leave the engine grounds, spark plugs, and the GEM module alone for now, it is unlikely that they are of concern.

Thank You for all the feedback !!

The truck is brand new to me But, it was a one owner and I was given All the maintenance records.

1) The Intake Manifold was replaced 22,000 miles ago. They used a Dorman Intake Manifold along with some type of pipe, if I remember correctly.

It is Not leaking Anywhere. Runs Well. 210,000 miles on odometer.

Owner stated plugs were changed 40,000 miles ago but, for some odd reason he said he did Not have a receipt for that job. (I hope it isn't because e plug blew out and had to be helicoiled back in... Time will tell - Hoping for the Best though - Self... Think Positive!!)

Has the OEM am/fm/cassette radio in the dash with the 6 cd disc changer mounted behind the Right Rear Seat. I believe this is All OEM from the Factory. (Lariat Package, I believe this truck came with every Option that was available for this year and model).

Everything... on the truck "works as it is supposed to".

NOTE: i DID have to fix the Odometer Intermittent Light issue though. Took me about 5 hours from start to finish. I followed instructions from a YouTube video (see below), Re-Soldered the appropriate Solder spots on the back of the Speedometer Mother Board. the Speedometer Light is now staying on, all the time, as it is supposed to.

I haven't driven the truck much since the purchase. I will drive it around and try the different buttons on the radio and see if the speaker clicking comes on. I haven't tested the radio since fixing the intermittent speedometer light, who knows, maybe it had something to do with this, I don't know.

If the left blinker causes clicking sound in the radio speakers, it means to change your radio station to a more right wing broadcast.
If the right blinker causes clicking sound in the radio speakers...... well, you know the rest.

Sorry not to be of any help, but maybe a slight smirk at a ridiculous post will help you not loose your temper with the slight flaw.

Enjoy the truck as much as those of us on this board do.

I appreciate all the help!!

I am retired and plus the Covid going on... I am trying to find things to keep myself busy. This truck is my newest Focus.
It seems to be a really nice truck. I am NOT partial to the seat padding though... I prefer Firm Seats. In my recent years of experience, I have enjoyed the seats in the mid 2000's Ford Taurus' and the mid 2000's Dodge Charger Police Cars. Very Firm Seats in them!!

may be the ground for the gem, but I have a huge ground wire from the body to the frame underneath. At about the passenger footwell area.

I haven't driven the truck for a few days.
*I Will check back once I have driven it and tried the radio/turn signals again to see if anything has changed since I soldered the motherboard in the back of the Speedometer.
