Catch Can

Would a catch can be helpful on my 2002 F150XLT with 4.6 v8 Triton engine. Miles 277,900. In April had oil n filter changed, timming chain replacement, tune up, radiator flush, brake flush, and transmission fluid change and filter change too. Runs great. My shop guy said it was a good running engine for the milage.

A catch can shouldn't hurt anything. Blowby the piston rings is causing the oil to get to the air filter. Change the PCV of course. Turbo engines usually need a catch can. I have a 5.7L Hemi in my Magnum and a lot of the owners who drive them hard put catch cans on them to stop what you are experiencing.
