Alarm won't shut off after gear shift lever replacement

I just replaced my shift lever and boot per a nice write-up I found here, and when I reconnect my battery, the alarm is going off and I can't stop it. Is it because I removed the ignition module?

At the very least, can someone tell me which fuse is for the damn horn?

On an unrelated (?) note... a small grey molded plastic piece fell out from somewhere... about 1-1/2" x 3" with a 1/2" hole in the top of it. Anyone have any idea what it is, where it goes, and why it fell out? It looks like it was once held in with 4 "prongs", but they appear broken.

Just did some dash diving, and this truck has an Autopage KE-120 alarm installed... and it's a mess. No valet switch, and the worst wiring I've ever seen.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this alarm? I can't find one anywhere on the web.

Part 3...

It looks like there is only a couple of wires hooked up on the Autopage, and I really don't think it's still wired in (no indicator, no valet switch, no wires going to any locks, etc. Now I'm leaning toward the alarm that I'm hearing/seeing is the factory perimeter alarm system. Unfortunately, the only key fob I have is the Autopage one (which also never worked)... not the factory one.

EDIT:

The only wires hooked to the Autopage are these (black, white, and red at the bottom go to the Autopage). They are tied into a bundle with other wires at the top of the dash next to the radio. The factory (?) colors are red, yellow, black, blue, and green. Any idea what these wires are, or what they go to up in the dash?

Ahh, classic textbook example of why you don't have your local stereo shop install alarms... or stereo systems for that regard.

In fact, I think I mentioned this a couple weeks ago, but there are ads going around in my area, buy 1 remote start/alarm kit, get another free... Oh, OK. I want them hacking up my car... lol

Yup, looks like a mess.
