Question Motor swap. More power?
I got a 97 f150 4x4with a ,4.6 ltr that failed on me and I知 interested in knowing what I could replace it with, other than the 4.6 ltr ,I知 interested in getting more power with just a bolt in. Can anyone suggest a bolt in compatible without extensive modifications

Closest upgrade path will be a 2v 5.4l v8 from the similar model year -- 97-98 M/Y.

If you do a 5.4 swap, a 99+ will be more powerful because it has PI heads.
