2000 f150 4.6 v8. Loud bang, no start no crank & constant clicking sound. Theft light quick flashes. + terminal had corrosion, I cleaned it, but didn't fix it. 2 months ago, it did the crank, no start & I replaced the relays and it did fine. Anybody else had this happen & have any advice which direction to go? Thanks, Chris

 

The loud bang is curious. Could the engine have hydrolocked from a leaking injector? Could the starter have decided to crap out? I don't know. Perhaps a real mechanic will chime in.

 

Check the starter fusable link. Im not 100% for your gen truck but they are usually closer to the battery.

Some trucks can also have a rather large 150amp fuse in place, those make a good pop when they go.
