I bought a 02 F150 4x4, short bed, 4.6. The guy sprayed rubber undercoat so when I got it home and the rubber coating cracked off, I had a huge mess. The entire rear frame rails are toast! What can I do? I can't find an aftermarket place to buy them. What years interchange with my truck? I'll buy another one just to replace my frame and bed!! Any ideas of where I could buy frame rails or interchange years??

 

You should take the guy to court for selling you an unsafe vehicle. How much is the maximum you can sue for in small claims court?

 

The back half is the same on almost all the 97-03 trucks.

If the frame is really that bad, you're probably looking at other issues, cab corners, rockers, radiator support

 

Keep a look out at your local salvage yards.
