Add a leaf

Hey Guys,

I've been browsing/searching the forum for some time now and haven't seen the exact answer I'm looking for. I'm wanting to put an add-a-leaf on my 2002 F150 Supercrew XLT 4x4 (5.4 L). I've towed a couple times and have felt a noticeable bounce. I realize I probably need new shocks (have 128k miles, I was told they're newer shocks by PO). I'm considering the Fox 2.0 shocks w/the add a leaf and cranking the t-bars. I'm currently running 265s but want to upgrade to 285s (maybe 315s and gears).

Can any one post pics of their trucks with add-a-leafs? The only ones I've found for my year F150 are the Skyjacker "soft ride" that claim to add about 2" of lift. Just wondering how accurate that 2" is or if it's more/less. I don't want to have to crank the t-bars too much. Basically keep the stock rake.

In summary, what are ya'lls experience with add-a-leafs. I'm aware it will stiffen the ride some...

Thanks

Sage
