1998 Ford f150 4x4

My 1998 f150 starts up great idles good but when u start to drive it and press the gas it acts like it chokes out and wants to cut off then if finally catches and it starts to go and when u go to slow down and almost stop it cuts off any ideas I check the massive air flow but it's not that

I'm glad to be apart of the f150 site I loves my trucks I have a 1998 Ford f150 4x4 and a 2004 Ford f150 4x4 the 2004 has a 6" lift riding on 38" tires it's my baby hope to become good friends with this f150 site thanks y'all I will post pics soon

Your 98 should be OBD Complaint and storing codes. I'd have somebody like Autozone read them for free. It could be multiple things, PCV hose if a 5.4, a vacuum leak, throttle position sensor out of range, etc. I assume no mods to the engine?

Its a 4.6l the check engine light is not on
