Flywheel noisr Z
Need help!
We just installed a 2001 5.4 engine with no 4 wheel drive into a 1999 ford f150 with 4 wheel drive. The engine wouldn't turn over, so we bought a starter. Now the flywheel i a dragging or should i say vert loud grinding. Did it make a difference about the 4-wheel drive? Any thoughts or comments would be very helpful. Thanks

Without more info on your change, here are items that could be the issue.
1. 5.4 in place of a 4.6, the flywheels may be different.
2. The trans is a 4r100 or a 4r70.
3. The converter was not indexed far enough into the trans front pump. this will cause damage if run in that condition.
Good luck.
