At one point the digital mileage display for this 1999 F-150 XLT 4.6 would come and go. Lately numerals are missing and the usual fix of tapping the area over the display no longer works. The truck has approx. 170K miles. Is there a minimally invasive fix for this problem. My guess would be aged/oxidized circuit tracks servicing the display panel? Any thoughts?
