Hood Repaint

How do you remove the windshield spray nozzles from the hood of a 2001 F-150?

From the under side push the spring clips inn and push it up through the hood.

Are the clips visible if you remove the rubber hose? The insulation is somewhat fragile and I didn't want to take a chance on damaging it.
I'll get a good light and an inspection mirror and have a go at it. Thanks
for the comeback.

Tried removing mine and the spring clips on them were very brittle (the actual sprayer nozzle had fallen out and the solution was gushing rather than misting out... some ran down and over the years I assume had an impact on the flexibility/brittleness of them). Ended up snapping the first one by mistake and the second intentionally... just spent a few bucks and got new ones. Good luck with getting them out unscathed!

Not sure about dealers having them or not; I just got a universal replacement set and slapped them on; serves the purpose.
