Where's your alarm LED?

Mods: I thought I'd post here for more model-specific info, but if this should be in "Electronics," please let me know and/or move the post.

I'll be installing an alarm system in my 2003, and am looking to see where others have placed the LED. I tend to want to make my installs look as stock as possible, and would like to employ the "smoked dome" LED cover from an 04-08 as I did in my '95 Mustang (pic below).

I found one post where someone placed the LED in one of the removable screw-cover plates on top of the dash, and I considered this, as well, but a) there's not much room under that cover, b) neither one is centered on the dash, and c) as a deterrent, the LED would not be very visible to a shorter individual looking in.

I may just have to find a spot in the face of the dash, but hoped for a more "factory" look.

Ideas?

Thanks,

Andy

Yep, and I wish Ford had given the 97-03 trucks a good place like that. Unfortunately, the dash pad's not removable in that area without a lot of disassembly. For lack of a better location, I'm leaning toward putting mine in the passenger-side screw cover like THIS GUY did.

It will be a tight fit since I want to use the 04-08 cover, but I think I could make it work. In the meantime, I'll still be considering other options.
