Newer seats in my 2002 f150

Hi! New to the page, I have a 2002 extended cabx xlt edition f150, I was at a junk yard today and seen a 1997 with all new interior, like 2006 or newer seats and console in the hole truck, I didn't think to look at how it was made into the truck, so my question is, does anyone know how I can make this happen in my truck?? I know they don't direct bolt in but Can I bolt my brackets to the new seats??

Before you get all convinced to do this. I would check with a friend that has the next generation truck....sit in it, if they're nice take it for a drive. Noting how comfortable the seat is in comparison to what you already have.

Many thought the 10th gen (97-03) ( like yours ) seats were much more comfortable compared to the 11th gen(04-08).

That said, if you prefer the dash layout better...I'm sure it can be done but it probably would require some heavy modification to the wiring harness to get thing to work properly...maybe not??...all things are possible with enough $$. As i glanced over some other posts , I was reminded that the cabs width on the 11th gen is wider than the 10th gen.

Your best bet would be finding late model Expedition seats, they should be closer to bolt on, since the Expy is a direct predecessor of the 10th Gen

You have a good point there I already installed an expi center console in my truck and I love the extra maybe the seats would be easier to make for and look better

Maybe that's a good Idea my brother has the 11th gen I could try his out but I'm not ready for a deep over hall to make seats fit when mine are in really great shape

From what I understand the seats can be done....you may have to drill another hole or tap a different location in the cab pan....er something like that.
