Rotor/Bearings
Is there anyone that sells rotors with the bearings already pressed in? I wan to be able to take the old rotor out and put the new one on without having to pack and press bearings. 2002 XLT 4.6 2WD
Your truck has 1 piece rotor/hub assemblies with the bearing races already pressed in. You will have to clean and repack (or replace) your bearings, and you will need new grease seals. No way around that.
The bearings don't have to be pressed back in, the inner bearing just drops into the hub and is retained by the grease seal, then mount the hub on the spindle, slide the outer bearing in, followed by the washer and nut.
