2002 f150 supercrew drives poorly when wind blows
i have a 2002 f150 supercrew 4x4. it has stock tires on it. when the wind is not blowing the truck drives nice but when the wind blows hard my truck gets pushed all over the road. really makes it a pain to drive when windy. does anyone have any ideas thoughts on how to make it drive better in the wind. my ball joints and tierods are tight, i replaced my sway bar links not too long ago. could the steering gear box be worn or something? i have almost 200k on my truck. keep in mind it drives nice when not windy and no noises. seems like 55mph+ is when it starts driving poorly in wind.

Be sure your alignment shop has set in enough caster and the toe in is correct.
What did the sheet say they gave you for the settings after the job was done?
You can certainly feel a loose steering even setting still.
Check that the steering box is not loose on the frame.
If to many settings are too far out, the smallest body roll from wind will make changes in the front suspension angles through normal movement and try to steer the truck. It's a form of what is called 'bump steer'.
Good luck.
