If you change the tranny filter (normally not necessary), ALWAYS use a Motorcraft filter.

You got me curious so I went and looked in my truck's logbook. They used SPX filters.

They state they are OEM tranny component suppliers to the auto mftrs. They may even supply Motorcraft with their tranny filters for some applications?
