lift kit questions

lift kit questions

have an 03 F 150 XTL 17. 4x2.. number one I don't understand what the 17 stands for shows up my insurance information for the vehicle any suggestions..
ok on to the main question truck has a 6 inch lift kit can I you stock shocks on it to replace. only have the truck for 2 months and bought it this way. so a lot of fixing up on it to get it right..

any suggestions or comments we appreciate it very much

No you will not be able to use stock shocks.

You need to figure out what kind of lift you have to see if you need shocks for a 3" or 6" lift in the front. The rear shocks will probably use shocks for something like a 4" lift. If you're unsure of what kind of lift you have you can post pictures of the front suspension, one of us will be able to tell you.

That's a fabtech kit, they don't make a 6", it could be the 7.5". That's what I have on mine along with a 3" body lift. The shocks are easy to find, just Google the lift and the part number on fabtechs site should be there for shocks, go to Amazon and paste it in and you're done
