Help My Truck Wont Go In Four Wheel Drive

Please Help. I have a 2001 F150 with the four wheel drive floor shifter. I tried to put it in four wheel high and the shifter would not move. Any ideas?

The linkage is stuck from corrosion. Mix up a 50-50 mixture of ATF and acetone and put it in an old spray bottle. Crawl underneath and soak the linkage, keep shaking the bottle or it will separate. Wait 15 minutes and try to move the lever, repeat till it's free.

The ATF-acetone mix is better than any commercial penetrating oil.
