2003 Supercrew - most trouble free vehicle I have ever had 255,000 and strong !

I don't post here much but I have to brag on the best vehicle I have ever owned.

My 2003 F150 Supercrew Lariat FX4 5.4 was bought by me back in 05 with 55,000 miles on it. Back then I put a Kenwood DVD stereo in it and some Mickey Thompson wheels with BFG's on it. It now has 255,000 on it and this is the original engine with never a serious issue. Sure I've had to replace spark plugs and coils , but never trouble with spark plug threads or any internal engine components or even any leaks !

I have rebuilt the rearend around 150k and the transmission around 200 and done brakes , front wheel bearings and axles , Gone through 2 sets of BFG all terrain tires , and maintenance items during its time. I had to replace the silicon o rings in the automatic temp control.

Last fall, I treated it to a set of longtube coated headers and it has a nice 3" custom exhaust with flowmaster and dynomax. It has a custom SCT tune on it and my last highway trip I averaged 15mpg.

The truck has mostly highway miles on it and the front end is tight as it ever was , tires are wearing great. I just can't believe how reliable the truck has been.

I am going to start looking for a new truck (F-250) and only hope It is as bad *** as this truck is.

Mark, I kind of feel that way about my '02! Only 114,000 miles, but she's a great one.

Built Ford tough. Bought my 98 5.4 with 89k miles back in 04. Done virtually nothing to it. 231k miles and still daily driven. Original engine, trans, and rear. Still shifts smooth as silk and runs flawless.

my 03

Im new to ford... was always a chevy man but, i went out on a limb and bought my first ford. 03 supercrew 4.6 with only 50,000 on her! BEST truck I've ever owned. I can see why my dad always owned ford now. Smooth ride, tight steering. I cant believe this is what I've been missing
