Help, 97 F150 electrical just went ballistic!

I have a 97 4.6l lariat that I purchased off of a friend recently. It only has 100k miles and the drive train is butter smooth, the electrical system is trying to make up for that apparently. Let me list the symptoms, I have no idea where to even start on this:
  • Alarm goes off randomly and I get a door ajar light frequently (bad switch I pressume)
  • Wipers stay on unless I pull the fuse
  • Same with the dome light
  • Windows wont roll up or down but that may because I pulled the dome fuse? They work great usually.
  • speedo and tach work but the other guages dance around, none of them are accurate!
  • Interior lights randomly come on killing the battery overnight.
  • If I leave the headlights in auto mode they randomly turn on draining the battery.
  • The top portion of the tail lights went on by themselves yesterday, at that point I just gave up and pulled the battery cable

There are probably other symptoms but that's all I can think of, the damn thing acts possessed... So far this is what I know, the windshield used to leak and my friend thought water was dripping onto something it shouldn't be. I've since had the windshield replaced and things were ok while the weather was good but it seems the moisture has triggered something.

Sorry for the long post but I know very little about electrical systems, the only thing I have planned is to check the grounding straps. Any advice would be appreciated!

The windshield leak probably corroded the GEM module, otherwise known as the body computer.

Thanks for the info! Any hints as to where it is and how to get to it?
