Mirror replacement

How much of a pain is it to replace just the glass in a heated mirror with turn signal? Anything I need to prepare myself for?

Any recommendations on what to get? Just glass, glass with backing?

This is on an '02 F-150.

Thanks, Bryan.

I replaced my mirror glass, but I don't have heat or signal. My turn signal is mounted in the skull cap.

The glass (and its plastic backing) is mounted on a single centrally mounted ball swivel, and you just have to carefully pry it off with your hands.

You'll usually only find the glass with backing for sale.

Thanks, I also do not have the signal in the glass. It's in the mirror cap. This looks pretty easy.
