Here is a sample of my redone XLT Badges. I ordered the lettering from http://doityourselflettering.com/ and I think there a perfect match.

Looks good. Mine have all faded pretty bad over the years but the cost of new ones is getting ridiculous. That looks like a great idea to fix them up.

setup

yes I had to set it up myself here is what I used
1 select capital letters
2 select inches per letter .04
3 select total size .04x3.0
4 select font Broad Bay
5 select border silver
