HID problem??
Ok so on my 2003 f150 i ordered a set of DDM xenon HID's but i just got the low beam kit, not high/low. I thought i would still have halogen high beams, because my brother's truck did. But i install my lights and all the lights work fine but i have no high beams whatsoever. Should i send the kit back and get the high/low kit?? Or is there a way to fix this??

First off, you should post in the Illumination and Lightning forum
Secondly, you bought a low beam only kit and your complaining because it doesn't have high beams? Throw that kit in the trash and go to www.theretrofitsource.com and get a projector retrofit kit.

I have the same setup as you. There's only 2 bulbs for the headlights, used for both low and high beam. The kit you bought is low beam only, so of course when you flip your high beams on, your lights will go out. At least thats what happens to me. Just buy the hi/low beam bulbs that are like $15 more.
Had nothing but problems with DDM. I now have VVME, which I've had for 3 years with no issues whatsoever. I never buy them dual beam or bi-xenon kits due to the extra cost and they make little to no difference in output when you put your high beams on.
The hi/low kit has a crappy halogen portion of the bulb for the high beam and really it takes away visibility. Makes everything a dull mustard color.

All 'bi-xenon' PnP capsules / actuators simply attempt to move the arc from one focal point to another to give the poor clueless dumb fekk who purchased them the feeling that they actually have a Hi & Lo beam. Of course , neither focal point is remotely near what the factory reflector can use - hence neither position results in a usable beam pattern - ZERO precision - just a retarded blob of random glaring light with tremendous foreground and crappy width. Just like the vacuous nipple-pierced Ricers like it
It's rather Unlikely you give a crap aboot efficient precise beam control and just what proper optics can bring to the table, though - which is why I know giving you a link to high-quality retrofit projector systems and components, and expecting you to actually invest a bit of yer precious time to make it happen would be a waste of my time.

Actually there is a difference. VVME uses AC instead of DC making them more reliable and less likely to flicker.
And I realize that retroffiting is the "best" way to go, but for some of us it is way out of the budget. Plus I really don't care for the ricey jobs some people do with the retrofitting. Such as the gay looking halos and leds and all that. I prefer the look of white HID's inside a reflector housing. Sue me.

Plus YOU don't have to have leds or halos. You customize it to your liking.
If you doing mind me asking how much did you spend on the VVME kit?
