Torsion Replacement 98 f-150

I have a 1998 f-150 XLT 4x4 4.6L

Its my first truck and I just cant let go of it. Plus its still good to me, I recently got the bug up my *** to replace most of the front end steering components. Just did shocks am about to do Upper/Lower ball joints and new inner and outer tie rods. I was also considering doing my torsion bars and leaf springs....

So heres my question. How the hell do I figure out what the part number for my Torsion bars and Leafsprings are? I had read something online someone suggested putting in F75Z5B326KB and F75Z5B327KB said they were spring code 7 and that they were meant for a plow truck. I have no problem putting these in as long as they aren't going to royally screw my truck.

Any thoughts? Thanks

I found this coob,

https://www.f150online.com/forums/su...sion-bars.html

I kind of see what this guy is saying as this...

The bars hes suggesting are more heavy duty and capable of more lift which I don't really think will be an issue as I plan to use the stock keys(if I can find new replacements that would be great too)

So I'm thinking what hes suggesting is just a heavier duty torsion bar. I figure if you don't lift it any it shouldn't effect ride quality.

Those part#s are for the torsion bars used on the 7700 series. Now if they are any different than regular i am unsure

Im thinking they are just capable of holding more front end weight as the 7700 is for plowing. I'd really like to be sure of this first though. I don't know that my torsion bars are bad but I figure at 140k it can hurt to put new ones.

I have 300k miles on mine, and I'm lowered, I wonder if the 7700s are indexed differently or if they just have more tensile strength

Thats exactly what I am trying to find out myself. I want to keep stock ride height.

Do you think it'll level the truck? Or not even raise it that much?
