35 in tires
35 in tires
Hey, new to the site here, looking forward to having a resourse of all you for guys
Wondering i could get some advice
I have a 2001 f150 5.4 4x4 with 135k miles and right now i have 33 in coper stts on it
Thinking of going to a 35 in stt and a 3 in body lift
I do plan on regearing, probably to 4.56s
I was wondering how the rest of the truck will hold up
(ball joints axles brakes ect)
And how will it pull with 4.56s in it
Id appreciate any help from you guys if anyone here has this setup
Thanks

Ball joints and stuff like that will where a little faster, but not super fast like they would if you had tried to put on of those leveling kits on your truck. But say most of the parts are worn or close to it now, it's gonna become more pronounced they're worn with the larger tires.
4.56's are a pretty good match with 35's, so you should be okay.

No worries with that set-up. I love my 4.56's. Went for a year with the stock 3.55 and 35's. Don't regret the upgrade at all. Also, do a Detroit trutrac for a limited slip while you are getting regeared for your rear diff.
If you haven't ever redone your front end, now would be a good time to do it. I'm planning on lifting soon, only have 92k miles, and I'm probably going to end up doing the basic UCAs, lower ball joints, outer tie rod ends, etc. deal. The body lift shouldn't make anything wear much differently than stock though because it doesn't touch the suspension at all. So only the big tires should cause more wear.
