03 f150 rear view mirror

I have a 2003 ford f150 Xl. The rear view mirror in the cab had fallen off when I had bought it. The piece that glues to the window goes on the mirror very very hard. There are no set screw or anything. Anyone know an easy way to put it on ? Thanks for the help!

Squeeze the mirror and the mount together with channel locks

Yes. Put the channel locks up against the glass. And squeeze them to help move the mirror over the mount

Be careful not to pull or push hard on the mount. You can pop it off the glass or even worse break the glass

Yeah I tried to slid it on and ripped the mount off the glass. Is there any specific place I should put it to be sure it's centered ?

there should be a small etch in the glass that aligns it.

Or you can measure outside the truck and mark it off with masking tape on where you want it
