fun things with the cubby hole below steering column
Has anyone done anything fun or different with the little cubby hole to the right of the steering column? I've seen a couple have used it for a brake controller. What else have y'all done? Pics and right ups would be awesome
I placed a start button inside of mine, it is out of sight, you still need the key in the ingnition to start the truck but you have to use the push button to actually start the truck. It is well hidden and out of sight and placed back in the cubby hole as far as i could get it but still use it and the only way to be able to feel it, is if you place your hand palm up and run along the inside "roof" of the cubby, if you just stick your hand in there and feel around you cant find it...... Nothin special but i figured i would share
That's a pretty slick idea. I had the push button start in my Chevy 350 powered 87 4runner but that was mounted directly on the dash in plain sight. I did, however, hide a switch out of sight, that if I turned off, truck would not start. And still needed the key to unlock the steering wheel.
