My 4wd seems to be working fine....my question is....when shifted into 4L a "low range" light comes on ....but when in 4H no light at all...should I have one?...bulb burn out?.....fuse to the light?....like I said 4wd works in 4H and 4L

If the light doesn't come on when you first start it, the bulb is probably blown.
